By resolution of the Defense Ministry items from a secret training unit of the Strategic Missile Forces formerly hidden from the broad audience will be demonstrated in a separate pavilion of military patriotic park of culture and leisure Patriot in Kubinka in Moscow Region. Representatives of the Defense Ministry report that look of some models of strategic armament and military hardware will be revealed in the framework of the upcoming Army-2016 forum. Only the people having special permits could get acquainted with these items before.
DEFENSE MINISTRY WILL SHOW THE FORMER SECRET ITEMS FROM A TRAINING UNIT OF THE STRATEGIC MISSILE FORCES TO VISITORS OF ARMY-2016 SHOW
By resolution of the Defense Ministry items from a secret training unit of the Strategic Missile Forces formerly hidden from the broad audience will be demonstrated in a separate pavilion of military patriotic park of culture and leisure Patriot in Kubinka in Moscow Region. Representatives of the Defense Ministry report that look of some models of strategic armament and military hardware will be revealed in the framework of the upcoming Army-2016 forum. Only the people having special permits could get acquainted with these items before.
For the first time visitors of the forum will see a fully deployed battery of mobile ground missile system Topol and the most numerous and reliable intercontinental ballistic missile of its time RS-18 (UR-100NUTTKH). In a separate pavilion of the 12th main department of the Defense Ministry (structure responsible for safe storage and maintenance of nuclear ammunition) visitor will be able to get acquainted with the equipment that provides for safe storage of nuclear arsenal.
Director of Patriot park Sergei Parondzhanov reported:
– Cluster of the Airspace Forces on the basis of which the unique show will be arranged is a new object of Patriot park. Models of Soviet and Russian aircraft, armored vehicles and tanks and special hardware of the last decades will be presented in it on open sites. Sections of the central museum of armored armament and hardware (division of Patriot park), the 12th department of the Defense Ministry, the Airborne Forces and the Airspace Forces will be opened in the pavilions located on the territory of the cluster.
Interestingly, visitors of Patriot park will see not only the launchers of Topol missile system well known by anyone from the Victory Parades on the Red Square nut also auxiliary vehicles of the battery without which launch of intercontinental missiles is impossible. Visitors will also be able to get acquainted with a combat command vehicle and to get inside the auxiliary vehicles: residential module for combat crews of the missile system being practically a sleeping railway car mounted on a four-axle prime mover.
Representatives of the staff of the Strategic Missile Forces say that for a deeper submersion into the topic anyone will be able to sit down at the steering wheel of the newest simulator for training of crews of combat ant-saboteur vehicle Typhoon-M for the first time too. Typhoon-M provides combat patrolling of mobile ground missile systems Topol and the most modern strategic missile systems RS-24 Yars. The simulator teaches personnel of guarding and reconnaissance units to detect subversion groups in the zones invisible by optronic and radio electronic means. The system allows modeling of various kinds of combat situations in virtual space taking into account relief of the terrain, various kinds of road pavements and other obstacles. Due to multifunctional it allows training of the entire crew of the vehicle from driver to gunner of a remotely controlled platform. Representatives of the staff of the Strategic Missile Forces say that visitors will be able to test themselves in three roles: as driver of this vehicle, weapon operator and serviceman of an anti-saboteur formation who guards modules of the missile system or prevents penetration of possible trespassers to the guarded objects.
With regard to the section of the 12th main department, the military officials did not determine the list of the items yet. Their list is being coordinated still. Representatives of the Defense Ministry say that they are ready to introduce to the visitors such formerly classified objects as means for provision of security of bases for storage of nuclear ammunition, a well as lethal and non-lethal instruments of influence on those who breach nuclear security. It is not known yet if a real nuclear warhead of a strategic missile will be demonstrated at the show. The Defense Ministry reports that this is possibly the main source of suspense of Army-2016.
