DEFENSE MINISTER’S RESIGNATION DEMANDED

The Union of Right Forces continues collection of signatures on its letter to President Vladimir Putin demanding military reforms and resignation of Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov. The party claims to have collected 12,000 signatures. It believes that Ivanov does everything in his power to put an end to the reforms even before their beginning.

President Vladimir Putin replaced presidium of the State Council, this Monday. The list now comprises governors Yuri Yevdokimov (Murmansk), Eduard Rossel (Sverdlovsk), Yuri Trutnev (Perm), Aman Tuleyev (Kemerovo), Alexander Chernogorov (Stavropol), Yevgeny Savchenko (Belgorod), and Sakha President Vyacheslabv Shtyrov.

VLADIMIR RUSHAILO REPORTS ON HIS TRIP TO SIBERIA

Yesterday, Secretary of the Security Council Vladimir Rushailo made his report to the president and the Cabinet on results of his trip of the Siberian federal region. “Negative tendencies have not been overcome and the crime level remains high,” he said. Rushailo made a special emphasis on the ecological situation.
