The inquiry group of the military prosecutor’s office of the Northern Fleet signed a deed for conveying the nuclear powered Kursk submarine to the Fleet at the dock in Roslyakovo (Severomorsk, the Murmansk region). According to the press service of the Northern Fleet, “signing this document testifies that military investigators have finished working in the body of the submarine, searching for evidence of the incident, which happened on August 12, 2000 in the Barents Sea.” In the words of Captain Vladimir Navrotsky, “at present, specialists of the dock have already started preparing the submarine for further transportation to the ship-repairing plant Nerpa (Snezhnogorsk, the Murmansk region).”
