Widow Olga Kolesnikova denounces the innuendo Komsomolskaya Pravda, April 21, 2001, p. 1

SUMMARY:

One of the Moscow newspapers ran an article on a mutiny that allegedly took place in the Kursk. The newspaper stated that Lieutenant Captain Dmitry Kolesnikov, the only officer to survive the explosions, had been assailed by panicked sailors shortly before the end.

Says his widow Olga Kolesnikova: I hear there was a phrase in Dmitry’s last message that “I wish I had a gun.” That’s a blatant lie. I saw the message with my own eyes. There is nothing of the sort in it.
