SUMMARY:
The latest issue of the Sunday Times (Great Britain) surmised that the Kursk had been killed by a Granite guided missile launched by the Pyotr Veliky. Russian officials decline comments on the hypothesis they brand as utter stupidity.
The catastrophe will probably be explained only when the Kursk is lifted from the seabed. There are certain doubts, however, that the operation will be a success. Apart from financial difficulties already encountered by the Kursk International Foundation, purely technical problems may crop up in the process of the operation itself.
