This was reported by Mikhail Barskov, deputy commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy. According to him, the preparation of technological apertures in the sunken submarine’s hull is to be finished today.

The dismantling of the submarine after its recovery from the bottom of the Barents Sea will cost about $6 million. The Kursk international foundation is currently raising the necessary sum.
