DEFENSE MINISTRY AND ROSREZERV CONDUCTED JOINT EXERCISES
At joint exercises Rosrezerv and Defense Ministry liquidated conventional saboteurs.
Cutting of the troops off the rear ranks and logistic is a dream for the enemy. According to the script of the exercises that took place in Rostov Region a conventional enemy tried to do exactly this. It sent a group of saboteurs to attack warehouses of Rosrezerv. The attackers even managed to set one of them on fire but firefighting crews of Rosrezerv and Emergency Situations Ministry coped with fire quickly. Meanwhile, units of the Interior Ministry blocked and conventionally destroyed the enemy saboteurs. Cargoes went to the troops on time and without losses. Exercises of Rosrezerv and Defense Ministry became a part of the special exercises of the logistic system of the Defense Ministry started in the Southern Federal District. The goal is working out of joint actions of employees of enterprises of Rosrezerv and servicemen during mass sending of food products, clothing and fuel to the troops from the state materiel reserve. In a real military situation importance of such operation is hard to be overlooked. Satisfaction of mobilization needs is one of the main goals for which strategic reserves are intended.
Representatives of Rosrezerv reported:
– Joint exercises organized annually since 2012 became an important component of interaction of Rosrezerv and Defense Ministry. Such events allow maintenance of a high level of readiness of organizations of the system of state materiel reserve for fulfillment of tasks of procurement of the Armed Forces.
Work of Rosrezerv is top secret. As a rule, scarce mentions in open sources deal with shipment of food products, tents, electric generators and other kinds of equipment to the regions that have suffered from natural disasters. However, this is only the pinnacle of the iceberg. Rosrezerv forms, serves and stores reserves that consist of hundreds of food products and manufactured goods, fuel, equipment and life support means. These reserves are intended not only for use in case of mobilization and natural and manmade disasters. The reserves are necessary for maintenance of sectors of the economy, regions and strategic production facilities in case of disruption of supplying of the most important resources. The reserves are also used for provision of regulating effect on the market. Experts and state officials recalled about the state reserve when information about implementation of anti-Russian sanctions by the US and European Union appeared. Information about what and in which quantities is stored at warehouses of the agency constitute a state secrecy. The warehouses are scattered all over the county to be able to deliver all most necessary items to any point in the minimal time.
