The Defense Minister reminded that at the meeting of top-ranking officials of the ministry in July of 2015 it was decided to create a unified system of coast defense from the southern coat of Primorsky Territory to the Arctic. This system will control strait zones of the Kuril Islands and Bering Strait, cover the routes of deployment of forces of the Pacific Fleet in the Far Eastern and Northern sea zones and will also increase combat stability of the maritime strategic nuclear forces.
