Army-2016 forum is organized for the second time. Whereas last year the forum was considered international rather symbolically, now it became such actually.
ARMY-2016 FORUM WILL BE VISITED BY REPRESENTATIVES OF 86 COUNTRIES
Army-2016 forum, exhibits of which have practically been formed in Patriot park, is organized for the second time.
Whereas last year the forum was considered international rather symbolically, now it became such actually. Eighty-six countries plan to participate in it. Official military delegations will arrive from 45 countries and 15 delegations will be headed by defense ministers. The overall quantity of sections of foreign participant companies is bigger than 50. They represent 13 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Germany, India, Israel, Ireland, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, France and Switzerland.
The program of the show will be arranged according to 40 topical sections. There will be novelties in each of them that are shown openly for the first time.
For example, a model of universal landing ship created under Priboy designation will be shown there. The advertising passport for it that permitted its demonstration at the show was signed only in April. Such landing ships were not built in our country yet. Priboy will be able to carry up to 900 marines, 50 combat infantry vehicles and ten tanks. There will be special landing and assault boats, as well as transport landing and search and rescue helicopters on its board.
Airspace defense corporation Almaz-Antey is preparing an interesting show. It will present elements of air defense missile system Antey-2015 that may be used both within an air defense system and within an antimissile defense system. Cruise missiles 3M-14E from Kalibr system will definitely attract interest of the visitors. Kalashnikov corporation built a special building of a demonstration center and its section would be the biggest. For the first time at an open show the company will demonstrate prototypes of the newest sniper rifles SVK and VSV-338, modernized Kalashnikov automatic rifles of the 100th series with Obves kit, prototype of the Lebedev pistol for 9×19 cartridge in a new version, as well as remote controlled weapon platforms.
Besides a big quantity of military and civil small arms Kalashnikov will also demonstrate combat boats and unmanned aerial vehicles that are made by the corporation now too.
Demonstration of dynamic capabilities of modern military hardware will be organized at Alabino training range. Demonstration flights of airplanes and helicopters will take place at Kubinka airfield. There will be mass demonstration of drones including their demonstration in flight.
