RUSSIAN-NATO COOPERATION PLANS ARE OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE, ACCORDING TO SWEDEN’S DEFENSE MINISTER

During his visit to the Russian Baltic Fleet in Kaliningrad, Swedish Defense Minister Bjorn Gustav von Zyudov announced that Sweden was going to develop defense cooperation with Russia, particularly in the areas of joint exercises and sweeping the Baltic Sea of mines and ordnance of World War II. Sweden is not going to apply for NATO membership but plans of Russian-NATO cooperation are “of paramount importance”.

MOODY’S UPS RUSSIA’S RATING

Moody’s international agency has upped Russia’s rating in hard currency from stable to positive. It is Ba3 now.
